Join JMC for a high-energy day of workshops\, student panels\, and campus tours—plus expert guidance on turning your passion into a career. \nRegister for not one\, but two workshops\, and experience a day in the life at JMC Academy. \nPlease note: These workshops are targeted towards those in Years 10-12. \nWorkshops include: \n\nActing\n\nAn immersive masterclass that allows you to explore audition techniques. Students must bring a monologue of their choice. \n\nAnimation\n\nDesign a 2D character turnaround as reference for animation. \n\nDesign (Visual Communication and Design)\n\nDesign thinking workshop where students work in pairs on a hands-on project. \n\nMusic\n\nIn this Music Production session you will examine use of sampling and found sound in popular music\, then record sounds in small groups to use in a collaborative track. \nor \nA songwriting and performance session where you will explore writing songs in small groups and then performing for your peers. \n\nAudio Engineering\n\nPartake in a recording project learning basic skills on microphone positioning\, sound quality\, engineering techniques and more. \n\nFilm and Television\n\nStudents are introduced to screen directing through hands-on exercises\, building confidence and interest in screen storytelling. \n\nGame Design\n\nCreate and explore basic techniques using Unreal Engine to look at the fundamentals of level design. \n\nMusical Theatre\n\nExplore dance techniques for audition environments. Develop your confidence and presentation for any dance calls. Students must wear appropriate attire they can move in. \n\nEntertainment Business Management\n\nCreate a concept for a wild\, imaginative music or arts festival.
