If you’ve ever wondered what it really takes to make it in the music industry, The Making of an Artist is your chance to find out.

This two-day immersive workshop is designed for Years 10-12 students and built around one idea: giving you a real, hands-on experience of every facet of life as a recording artist. From the first spark of a song idea through to a live performance of your finished work, every moment of this program mirrors what it actually looks like to work in contemporary music.

Throughout the workshop, you’ll take part in interactive seminars, masterclasses, and mentorship sessions led by a vibrant team of active industry professionals spanning songwriting, performance, production, and music business.

You’ll also collaborate with fellow students to write and arrange an original song from scratch, develop a promotional strategy around it, record it in AIM’s world-class studio facilities, and perform it live at the end of the program.
